The program includes six informative workshops that address the main areas of business sustainability. These workshops are structured to encourage interaction from participants and are delivered by experienced presenters. The workshops can be conducted in a group format involving attendees from a number of various organisations or can be tailored for participants from one organisation. Workshops can be held on your premises or at an external location. The workshops cover the following six P's of business sustainability:
- People - tips on how to engage employees/suppliers
- Planet - reviewing your environmental impacts/risks
- Profit - improving your bottom line by going green
- Power - energy efficiency and waste management
- Products - buying and selling green products
- Policies - establishing enviro policies & procedures
The 6P Green Program includes the provision of a detailed Environmental Management System template that meets the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 - the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems. The Environmental Management System template includes:
- An Environmental Commitment Statement
- An Environmental Policy
- Environmental Procedures
- Environmental Forms
- List of environmental regulations and legislation
- Supplier Sustainability Questionnaire template
- Green Procurement Policy
- Terms of Reference for an Environmental Committee
- Responsibility Summary
- Listing of relevant environmental impacts and risks
The 6P Green Program includes a Workplace Sustainability Inspection of your main business premises. One of our consultants will visit your main business premises and provide you with on the spot advice on specific areas that could be improved from an energy efficiency and sustainability perspective. The advice will include structural and equipment improvements as well as simple behavioural changes that will help you reduce your energy use and subsequently lower your carbon emissions.
As part of the 6P Green Program we will calculate your organisation's Carbon Footprint and produce an analysis on the major sources of your carbon emissions. This calculation will be based on data that you provide relating to your use of electricity, gas, water, vehicle fuels, air-line travel and waste disposal. We will use this information and convert it into a single measurement of carbon dioxide equivalent using reputable carbon measuring software.
The 6P Green Program includes the provision of an easy to use template that allows you to create and develop a Sustainability Action Plan. This Action Plan will be a useful tool for Management (or an Environmental Committee) to prioritise and manage the application of sustainable practices across the organisation. The Sustainability Action Plan template allows you to communicate the sustainability objectives of the organisation to all interested stakeholders and defines the person responsible for the completion of each action step.
On completion of the 6P Green Program, you will have all the tools, systems and knowledge to achieve high level environmental certification such as ISO 14001, the internationally recognised environmental standard. You will also be in a good position to meet any industry specific environmental certification or accreditation. A number of industries or sectors have developed their own environmental certification (such as the Tourism sector and Motor industry). We are able to work with you to achieve the environmental certification relative to your organisation and business sector.
